Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether group therapeutic exercises (GTE) might increase the knowledge, psychological attitude and satisfaction of patients with stroke or not. 50 patients with stroke who were treated in National Rehabilitation Center and they were assigned 3 groups (A, B and C) by functional activities . During four weeks, the patients with stroke were executed the GTE programs. Baseline and pre and post test measurements were made of knowledge, psychological attitude and satisfaction of GTE. The results of this study are as follows; 1. The knowledge of GTE was significantly increased in patients with stroke. 2. The psychological attitude of was significantly increased in patients with stroke. 3. The satisfaction of GTE was significantly increased in patients with stroke. 4. After GTE, stroke patients cared by families and relatives were increased the knowledge of GTE than professional caregiver and volunteers. 5. After GTE, stroke patients cared by families and relatives were increased the psychological attitude of GTE than professional caregiver and volunteers. 6. After GTE, stroke patients cared by families and relatives were increased the satisfaction of GTE than professional caregiver and volunteers.
