Abstract
Objectives : This study was undertaken to identify the relationship of visual display terminal (VDT) operators. Methods : The data were collected with 46 VDT users from hospital located in Daegu. Results : Of the 46 operators, 2.65 scores felt subjective symptoms in neck, 2.63 scores in shoulder and in arm, 2.43 scores in eye, 2.26 scores in headache, 1.85 scores in lowback, 1.84 scores in hand and finger, 1.61 scores in back. The prevalence of VDT subjective syndrome was significantly higher in the shoulder and the arms than in the other parts of body. The C7-earhole angle, the elbow angle did not meet the recommended criteria and seemed to have increased the static load of muscles of the neck, the shoulder and the arms. The prevalence of subjective symptoms in decreased significantly, as the age and work duration. it seemed necessary to introduce an adequate control program of cervicobrachial disorders from an early stage of employment. Conclusions : The subjective symptoms of VDT subject.
