Abstract
Background The present study aimed at investigating the interater reliability of Alberta Infant Motor Scale (AIMS) used for evaluation of infants in Korea. Subjects 20 infants were evaluated to investigate the reliability for the AIMS. Subjects were 11 boys and 9 girls aged 2 to 16 months. Methods Three licensed physical therapists as raters, who have 1, 5 and 15 years of clinical experience respectively in infant motor development administered AIMS to a subject at the same time. Results Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) for interrater reliability of measurements obtained with the AIMS were high (ICC=.997). Conclusion The results suggest that measurements obtained with the AIMS for Korean infants have acceptable reliability.
