Abstract
Purpose The purpose of the this study is to find out the effect of proximal stability following change upper extremity function of the patients with stroke. Methods The subject of this study was a patient with stroke who has been treated in department of physical therapy, Bucheon-Korea Su Hospital. Evaluation tool were used Grooved pegboard, MFT, 9-holes pegboard test. For the four weeks the subject was treated 30 minutes per session, five times per week. Results The grooved pegboard test was increased from 13 pegs to 16 pegs, MFT test was increased from 62.5 score to 71.875 score, and 9-holes pegboard test was decrease from 71 seconds to 62 seconds. Conclusions This study showed that proximal stability increase would be affected the upper extremity function of the pastient with stroke.
