Abstract
Purpose This study aimed to analyze the impact of virtual realitybased customized rehabilitation training on the upper extremity function of stroke patients. Methods This study targeted 30 stroke patients, including 15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group. The experimental group received virtual realitybased customized rehabilitation training and occupational therapy for 30 minutes each for a total of 20 sessions, 5 times a week, and the control group received occupational therapy twice for 30 minutes during the same session as the experimental group. To investigate changes in upper limb function, the FugleMeyer evaluation and smart board evaluation programs were used. Results Virtual realitybased customized rehabilitation training showed significant changes in upper extremity function in stroke patients. Conclusion Virtual reality customized rehabilitation training is effective when applied according to individual functions.
