Abstract
Purpose This study aimed to investigate the effects of different exercise modalities on lung function and muscle tone in individuals with rounded shoulders. Methods Thirty healthy adults with rounded shoulders participated in the study .Each group is as follows. Thoracic mobilization exercise with TheraBand’s and foam rollers, stretching alone, and stretching combined with taping. Pulmonary function and muscle tone were measured three times pre and post intervention, and the average value was used. Results All three exercise groups showed improvements in lung function and reductions in muscle tone. Consequently, no significant differences were observed among the three groups. Conclusion Despite observing positive trends in lung function and muscle tone across all exercise modalities, the lack of statistical significance suggests that none of the three approaches provided a clear advantage. Future research should explore alternative methodologies and personalized exercise regimens to further elucidate the effects of taping during stretching and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
