Abstract

The purpose of this study were 1) to increase weight bearing of nondominance leg, 2) to determine the change of asymmetric gait characteristic using by visual and auditory feedback unit. The using equipment are made by researcher according to a principle of rolling board and pivot plat mechanism. The subject of this study were 16 cerebral palsied children who include 7 spastic type children and 8 athetoid type children 1 ataxia child. All of children with cerebral palsy was able to walk independently without physical support. The statistical method used were the t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study were as follow: 1. There was a significant difference between before and after balance training on weight bearing of nondominance leg. 2. There was no significant difference among the first three day, second three day and last three day on weight bearing throughout duration of balance training. 3. There was no significant difference between age and type of disablement on weight bearing. 4. The change of gait characteristic are as follows; First, there was significant difference between on asymmetrical ankle angle and step. Second, a stride length was no significant difference. Third, there was no significant difference in the base of support.
