Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the treatment of eccentric contraction on the stair gait in hemiplegic quadriceps. Three hemiplegic patients and ten healthy men were recruited as subjects. The change of gait variables were analyzed using three dimensional analysis system (VICON370). Cadence and walking speed on stair gait markedly increased after the treatment then before. The time supported by single limb was increased, where as the time supported by double limb was decreased. The treatment made possible to move more free and stabilized then before.
