Abstract
Assessment of children movement patterns is an important evaluation component in the early identification and management in the area of pediatric physical therapy. To provide an overview of motor assessment measures for children with developmental disabilities, supporting the selection of measures and the interpretation of results from measures, this article review current pediatric assessment tools for motor function. In the literature 7 instruments that are used in pediatric rehabilitation and pediatric physical therapy to assess the functional motor abilities of children with developmental disabilities were found. Instruments were reviewed with respect to target group, purpose, nature, type, content of test, reliability and validity. We wish that many physical therapists apply measures to clinic for study and treatment.
