Abstract
Background and Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of core stability training for postural control of hemiplegic patient. Subject and Methods: The subject of this study was a 27-year-old man with left hemiplegia. He was treated five times a week for five weeks with core stability training. Evaluation tool was used Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke patients(PASS). Results: The PASS score was increased from 16 to 31 Core stability training for left hemiplegia improved was the ability both for maintain. posture and adapting in changing posture, and so which showed significant improvement of total postural control. Conclusions: The result of this study showed that core stability training is an effective treatment for postural control. Therefore, it could be considered as a treatment method in the rehabilitation of stroke patient with poor postural control, although further studies are needed.
