Abstract
Background and Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a core stability exercise on walking pattern to the patients with cerebellar motor ataxia. Subjects and Methods: In this study, one woman performed a core stability exercise for four weeks and the active movement walking pattern before the exercise was compared with those
of after the exercise. Results: The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant difference between active movement walking speed before the exercise and after of it, decreased walking speed. Second, a core stability exercise decreased rang between the chin and vertical point so that mean the patient walked in straight line. Third, increases in active left arm movement but they don't show the right arm movement. Conclusions: From these results, a core stability exercise improve walking pattern movement and decrease walking speed to cerebellar motor ataxia. Therefore, further research is needed to investigate about a core stability exercise related to the increase in the function of the up
