Abstract
Purpose ’This study was to examine the effect of applying alignment control to unilateral stepping exercise training on improving balance and gait ability in post stroke hemiplegia. Methods Twenty subjects who meet the selection criteria and agreed to research having hospital care at the B hospital in Sungnam were randornly allocated and enrolled in this study. Alignment control to unilateral stepping exercise group was 10, simple stepping exercise group was 10 and totally 20 patients were confmned. Alignment control to unilateral stepping exercise σaining was applied to experimental group, simple stepping exercise was applied to control group. These were proceeded for 8weeks(3days a week, 30DÙnutes a day), change of balance and gait ability was checked to investigate the effect Balancia software was used for checking the ability of static balance, TUG was used for checking the ability of dynaDÙc balance, force plateforrn system were used for checking the ability of gait. Results Bnd Conclusion In conclusion, heDÙplegic patients who performed alignment control to unilateral stepping exercise training showed more effective results than hemiplegic patients who perforrned simple stepping exercise on improving for static, dynaDÙc balance and gait ability.
