Abstract
Purpose The purpose of this study was to find the effect of pelvic movement on the gross motor function in cerebral palsy children with spastic diplegia. Methods The subject of this study was 1 patients cerebral palsy with spastic diplegia who have been treated in Seoul Metropolitan Children’s Hospital. Evaluation tool were used GMFM test and compared excel average. For the ten week the subjects were treated 30 minutes per session, two times per week. Results The result of the GMFM before the training showed 58.2% but that of the GMFM after the training increased 76.6%. item of all, it showed the big difference in the B sitting 5%, C crawling & kneeling 38.31%, D standing 28.2%, E walking running & jumping 20.8% item. Conclusions From these result, a pelvic movement training enhanced gross motor function to the cerebral palsy children with spastic dipegia. Therefore, further research is needed to investigate about a pattern movement training related to the increase in the gross motor function.
